Traps and Trapping.

Trapping is the easiest and most energy efficient way of obtaining food.

Author demonstrating how and where to set a trail snare on a game trail.

Where a tree like this one has fallen across a game trail but still leaves room for game to duck underneath, this is a good place to set a snare hanging from the tree.

Please note that the author only demonstrates this trapping method for survival purposes and for historical information.

Okat J.A. so long as you need the meat or can free the animal afterwards. The latter can be dangerous depending on what you catch of course, so take care.
Regards, Keith.
PS. If you want to try the method out, but do not wish to catch anything, use a pure wool yarn. It will break if the trap works, but it won't harm the animal.
